Following the successful gubernatorial bid by Wycliffe Wangamati, one of his main campaign aides approached Sylvia who owned a boutique in Bungoma town with a view of upgrading his wardrobe to suit his would-be new ‘County communications officer’ status. He sweet talked the lady to the point of getting himself a 7,500/= suit, 2 shirts, a tie and one set of boxers on credit with a promise of paying back within a month after Wangamati officially takes up office.
Power nevertheless got into Jeff Wekesa’s head after ‘they’ officially took over office. He felt the lady could do nothing now that ‘they’ were in power. He started avoiding calls, never returned texts and ofcourse could never be found.
Today, about three years later the 40th day got him at Muteremuko area. The lady bumped into Jeff and roughed him up as the public cheered. She was heard shouting at him… “Ulifanya nikafunga duka, sasa nauza kwa bar… leo lazima utatoa pesa zangu” She dragged Jeff into Bamboo hotel (her current work place)
Jeff feeling trapped excused himself to go use the toilet but the lady saw it as a good opportunity to have him confined…. She locked it from outside for about an hour before she was convinced to open up.
Jeff Wekesa’s phone has now been confiscated until he pays Kshs. 10,100/=… Still sylvia is not letting him go.
