Ndalu Asst.-Chief Ms JANEROSE-N. IMBEGA-
TO THE ASSISTANT COUNTY COMMISSIONER
NDALU DIVISION
Dear Sir/Madam,
RE: PETITION/COMPLAIN AGAINST THE APPOINTMENT OF M/S JANEROSE N. IMBEGA AS ASSISTANT CHIEF NDALU SUB-LOCATION
WE are writing to show our displeasure against the government’s appointment of one JANEROSE N. IMBEGA as the assistant chief of Ndalu Sub location in Ndalu Division in  Tongaren Sub-county. Article 75 of the constitution of Kenya tn regards to leadership and integrity stipulates that integrity MUST be adhered to  in the process of recruitment and appointment into the public office. The process must be transparent, free and fair.
We  as members of Ndalu community feel  that the basic principles of persons to be appointed to such office were not followed.

We note with great concern that;
  1. The person  so appointed is not fit to hold public office as assistant chief as she is not married and she stays with the parents
  2. She is a political operative and active in politics .She cannot be an administrator
  3. Her public image is wanting in the community and her conduct in social places i.e. BARS and drinking joints is a displeasure to the Ndalu community and its known in the public domain.
  4. She has a love affair with the current Area chief and its known in public domain too.
  5. The recruitment process was not transparent;
a) The advert for the position was only displayed a week to the closing date and Many eligible candidates left out.
b) The closing date for the advert was on 17th November 2023,the interviews were hurriedly done after 7 working days on 29th November 2023….. What was the hurry for? This was ill intended and some behind the scenes maneuvers  done
c) The background reports from the NGAO offices like the ACC  were ignored by the panel  and or No report was written  because that would have given a true picture on the ground.
Wamboka wa Wajane Empowerment Drive – Distribution of Dairy Cows
We suspect corruption influenced the decision and thus making the whole process not transparent, free and fair
d)The Announcement of the appointee was done in the funeral by the Area chief.
In conclusion ,we are asking the government to revoke the appointment and the recruitment be done afresh .We demanding to have a LOCAL MARRIED PERSON WITH HIGH INTEGRITY ,GOOD STANDING CHARACTER WHO IS ACCEPTABLE TO ALL THE RESIDENTS OF NDALU SUBLOCATION. WHICHEVER GENDER.
Its our right under the constitution to claim and rights are not granted by the state. Rights are claims and we cannot beg.
Kindly give us your response and/ or action before we take further steps under article 37 of the constitution.
Thank You.

~ JOHN NARAS KHASETE, FOR NDALU COMMUNITY ~
