Former Bungoma Deputy Governor Prof. Charles Kibanani Ngome has ditched Democratic Alliance Party of Kenya (DAP-K) for Ford Kenya following what he termed as “being sidelined in the Senatorial talk within DAP-K”
Ngome who previously was Wetangula’s opponent garnered 90k votes which he says should advise the party of his ability to cling the seat in the absence of papa wa Roma.
Feeling sidelined, he decided to mend fences with Ford Kenya Party leader and speaker to the National Assembly Hon. Moses Wetangula in a bid to get one more chance at the ballot
Speaking to ikuweikuwe.com, Ngome said he felt unwanted in DAP-K when the party leadership only considered former governor Wycliffe Wangamati and former Kanduyi MP who doubles as DAP-K party leader for the oncoming Senatorial race.
While meeting Wetangula at the speaker’s Namuyemba home this morning, Ngome indicated that he is ready to face anyone in the FK party nominations but would also support any decision the might take via consensus.
Ngome got a rare chance to meet and shake hands with Wafula Wakoli who has widely been mentioned as an aspirant for the same seat despite the fact that he has not publicly spoken about it.
