This was evident when one burglar attempted to break into Westlite Lounge located at Kanduyi – Bungoma on Monday 14th Nov 2022. Upon tiptoeing into the entrance at 1am he immediately noticed a CCTV camera staring at him. This immediately threw him into panic mode as he is seen searching his pocket for a piece of paper in an attempt to tamper with the camera’s vision. According to the owner the thief did not manage to access the premise possibly for fear of being recorded on those CCTV cameras installed inside.
The matter was reported at Kanduyi Police post who arrested the man days later only to discover he is Congolese by the name Michael Rubygiza (pictured below)who has no work permit. He was arraigned in court which detained him for fear that he might run away.
