LWANDANYI MCA receives death threats
On Wednesday, June 17, 2020 Hon. Tony Barasa received a phone call from somebody who called himself Caleb Sniper using phone number 0726079246. Sniper informed the MCA that… “You have done your witch–hunt on impeaching Walela and succeeded, Why aren’t you here now? You will you know I am in government. You will know we are the government” The MCA thought that it’s the normal child’s play Wangamati’s keyboard warriors normally do without knowing the grave consequences they come with. So he chose to ignore and proceeded to see his ailing mother at a hospital (name with-held for security reasons) before heading back to the Assemblyfor the afternoon session.
When he was back and settled in the Assembly for the impeachment session of CEC Public Administration… He noticed a certain number calling him severally but he opted to not to answer
At one point the Leader of Majority Hon. Juma Nyongesa who had left the chamber to answer to a phone call was approached by a man who asked to know the whereabouts of the Lwandanyi legislator but was told the MCA was unavailable until the session is over. So the man decided to share his concerns with the Tuuti MCA before he went back into the chamber.
“My name is goon-for-hire (not his real name), yesterday Monday we (no. 2) were invited by the Wangamati Executive goons who gave us a government vehicle to use with clear instructions to execute a vicious attack on Tony Barasa the Lwandanyi MCA who is the mover of the no-confidence motion against Dr. Walela. We were told to kidnap and dump him in Mt. Elgon in a state that he won’t make it to the Assembly in time for the motion”
As the MCA was narrating to #iKUWEiKUWE Updates, I remembered earlier in the day I had the following chat with an #iKUWEiKUWE rat stationed at Mayanja market…
“At around 2300hours I received 50,000/= from the ‘boss’ himself to share amongst the two of us. I got scared by how serious this issue was becoming and opted out” added the goon-for-hire
The goon-for-hire later upon meeting Tony himself… concluded by informing the MCA that he is not safe because plans are still underway to hurt him. He even suggested that the MCA reports to the police for it’s that serious.
The MCA informed the commissioner and later proceeded to report at his local police… OB number; 15/17/06/2020
