Sang’alo Institute of Science and Technology (SIST) has called on interested students to apply for vacant positions following the demise of Swaleh and some who were vacated from the Students’ Governing Council (SGC) on disciplinary grounds. This comes a few days after the death of the Clubs and Societies student leader Mr. Swaleh Chituyi under mysterious circumstances.
Reached the Dean of Students Mr. kollikho indicated plainly that “indiscipline” was the reason for firing of the four. Findings are as follows:
- My rat informs the affected leaders are said to have engaged in corruption and fraudulent activities running from last year where they collected money from unsuspecting students pretending to have capacity to register them for exams even without paying full fees as demanded by the management. They are also accused of colluding with some members of staff to swindle excess monies that come thru due to various scholarships and/or bursaries. Students lost money to this syndicate.

The schedule for Students’ Governing Council (SGC) appointments runs from 23rd where the administration will recieve applications to 27th June 2023 when successful candidates will be sworn in.
It is not clear whether the leaders will face further disciplinary action
