Webuye Teachers Welfare donates foodstuffs and clothes


Webuye Teachers Welfare is a group of 418 teachers drown from primary to secondary. It was formed in 2016 as is currently led by:

  • Chairman –       Jacob Temba
  • Administrator – Amos K Wafula
  • Secretary –       Nancy Simiyu
  • Treasure  –       Jacqueline kerubo

On Sunday, May 31, 2020 Webuye Teacher Welfare donated foodstuffs and clothes to the most vulnerable families (disabled, old and Covid victims) in Webuye West and Webuye East Constituencies as follows;

  • Matulo ward -Malaha and Webuye township
  • Mihuu ward – Chetambe area
  • Maraka ward – Flyover area

The welfare’s main objective is to help eradicate poverty in Bungoma county by sponsoring poor children in school… BUT they’ve been forced to flex into assisting needy families due to floods and Covid pandemic

Next Saturday they purpose to visit the elderly at the chetambe hills to provide them with bedding, foodstuffs and other essential
