Ford Kenya SG, Dr. David Eseli has denounced changes made in the County Assembly that saw the replacement of the Majority leader among others

The FORD KENYA Secretary General today Friday, May 15, 2020 termed the recent replacement of some leaders at the County Assembly of Bungoma as NULL and VOID. He claims the changes did not involve party leadership which has not received any complain to warrant such changes. “We did not sanction any changes… changes that are purposed to sabotage governor Wangamati’s leadership” The Tongaren MP said

He went ahead to declare that some MCAs have NOT complied with regulations that demand that they pay monthly subscriptions to the party.

IN A REJOINDER:

  • Hon. Jack Wambulwa reminded the SG that failure to pay any subscription does not in any way amount to losing membership. We are Life members of FORD
  • Hon. Majimbo Okumu said they needed NOT to consult the national leadership for they are the wearers of the shoe and therefore knew where it pinches most. The Khalaba MCA went ahead to say Eseli is speaking that way because he’s working as a contractor (thru proxy) in the said government and is therefore safeguarding his business interests
  • This was a NASA affair and it’s wrong for him to insinuate that the county assembly needed to consult him… ”I challenge him to come out and deny the existence of a NASA agreement at the Political parties registrar office and if so he should then tell us under what grounds we needed to consult him” said the Khalaba MCA

They both said that the former leadership had failed the assembly and the people of Bungoma at large

Hon. David Eselim speaking to Journalists at a Webuye hotel
Senator Wetangula had earlier given a green-light to the changes (way before MCAs started planning). #iKUWEiKUWE Updates could not reach him for comments since he is enroute from Bungoma to Nairobi following the demise of his brother Tony… The meeting that had earlier been planned to take place between the FK MCAs and the Party leader was cancelled following yesterday’s changes in the assembly.
