Just like the many whistle blowers I refer to as iKUWEiKUWE rats, Carolyne hit my inbox with the following concern that got me interested in investigating RML;
Hi Edduh, how do guys get to highlight their plight with a business dealer – Royal Mabati Factory Ltd to be specific? Guys have paid huge sums of money to have iron sheets delivered from as early as October last year but no deliveries have been done. Their Office in Bungoma is on the street running from Coop Bank, passing behind Naivas. Many people are devastated.
My rat at Bungoma police station informs that there exist tens of complaints lodged at the OB in regard to RML
A quick look at the RML’s website leaves unsuspecting clients drooling for their services and products right from the neatly designed website to the mouth-watering images which ultimately hoodwink many into expecting top notch services on top of quality products but NOOOOO… That ain’t the case as ikuweikuwe.com came to find out.

Case One;
On 19 Jan 2022 Alex Nyongesa in company of his mother Mary Nyongesa visited Royal Mabati Factory Ltd – Bungoma office located on Wanakhatandi plaza with a view of purchasing iron sheets and other items for roofing purposes. The received a NUMBERLESS quotation of 5 items (see attached doc) amounting to Kshs. 150,690.00. from one of RMF’s latest branches with a verbal commitment to have them delivered in one week.

Today 24 Mar 2022, They are yet to get what they paid for neither have they being treated as expected. The timber they had mounted on top of the house in preparation for roofing has greatly worn-out and might need to be replaced. The matter has now been reported at Bungoma Police station
Case Two;
On 1st February 2022, Solomon made a payment of Kshs. 258,275.00 following receipt of a NUMBERLESS quotation from Jairus who convinced him that his order would be delivered in two weeks time. The NOTABLE difference is this time round the buyer was instructed to pay via EQUITY BANK KENYA LIMITED and/or FAMILY BANK… he opted to do an Mpesa transaction: Business No: 247247, Account No.: 990995

Solomon indicates that the Company has given numerous unfulfilled promises with the common one being “give us one week”
He has in the process been forced to pull down the timbers he had mounted and he reckons on next course of action.
Upon picking up the concern, ikuweikuwe.com reached out to the sales rep. Mr. Jairus +254 716 638383 whose phone remained off most of the time only coming on at times and immediately off. We also attempted to reach Isaac the Nairobi manager in vain.
We also attempted to call the number on the quotation 0722 638383… Which never went through for days
Panya (not his real name) from a neighboring office to RMLs informed ikuweikuwe.com that the number of clients who have been victims to this scam are many. “People have lost millions… Some come here cause drama but this guy at RML is super arrogant and unmoved… He doesn’t deliver and is not sorry for the delay, he at most times avoids coming to office” said Panya

Rejoinder;
Isaac reached out upon reading the above article which I had shared with the purposes of getting his/company comment(s) on the same… He informs that;
- The company was experiencing problems with availability of materials and therefore promised to make deliveries to both Alex and Solomon Saturday, 2nd April 2022.
- He also indicated that the company had contacted Mary upon reading my article with a view of agreeing on the new delivery date.
- He was silent on Solomon’s issue though

- I hereby request the DCI to move in with speed and investigate, arrest and prosecute the suspects
- If possible Bungoma County govt MUST with immediate effect revoke RMLs trading license
- The HQ. Must be forced to refund those who lost money plus interest… otherwise wafunge hii kampuni kabisa.
