Ruth and her friend Susan had just left office for home at about 4:30pm on 7th Feb 2021 when they heard deep harsh voice saying “Wewe mbona unaringa na namba na Matako hauna… Kifua hauna”?
As he proceeded to move closer the now scaref as hell lady on attachment at the agriculture depart, the rejected furious well-built man continued… “Wewe unajua sisi ndio wenye hii town… Wenye hii serikali”? Utajua Mimi ni nani…” He then grabbed her by the neck from behind while hitting her head with a plastic water bottle.
Sensing that no one would attempt to rescue her from the beast, Ruth gathered “David’s” courage and asked the “black fat giant” (as she puts it) … Why are you forcing me to give you my number if sina matako na kifua??? Why bother to follow and assault me? Why what makes you think id be intimidated into giving my number to mubaba like you??? But the man continued squeeze, pull and push her while hitting her with the bottle
One man who attempted to assist was given a stun warning not to attempt stopping the “govt.” from doing its work for there would be dire consequences.
The activity attracted a few onlookers who opted not to move anywhere close for fear of the unknown from the so called “owners of Bungoma govt”… But they recognized the attacker and therefore informed the two girls that: his name is Kituyi, a known goon who walks with governor Wangamati as unofficial bodyguard.
Ruth reported the matter to Bungoma police OB number 116/07/02/2022 @1736hours where she was asked to get a p3 as the police pretended not to be able to arrest the attacker without it.
Ruth’s father was so furious on realization of what had happened to her daughter and opted to make calls to the who-is-who is the county govt for intervention purposes as he threatened to teach the “govt” (Kituyi) a lesson. Help didn’t succeed though but Mzee later decided to visit the governor’s office for answered and possible justice.
As they landed in the governor’s office the following day 8 Feb 2022 where they met an arrogantly authoritative man and with a don’t care attitude indicating that the case should be pursued at the Police. He even indicated that he does not condone that kinda behavior advising Ruth’s father to proceed and have Kituyi arrested.
At this point Ruth and her father who had been duped by some corridor employees who pretended to share their pain that the man they were looking for is Robert Kituyi (another County driver)… This wasn’t the case though for Robert Kituyi is a former military man known by many as a man who obeys the law and would not do anything of the sort. They only came to know that the other name of the Kituyi they were looking for is
So as they contemplated going to police to pursue their issue, a county officer summoned the main culprit to his office. Despite the HR office denying that he is not a county employee someone from the County secretary’s duped the aggrieved that Kituyi had been handed a suspension letter from the CS officer.
Kituyi nevertheless apologized and promised not to repeat but the aggrieved were not contended
After adding one plus one and of course with consultations a friend of Ruth opted to share the story with iKUWEiKUWE who advised her to tell Ruth to pursue the case for public interest on top of getting justice.
Sexual harassment offence attracts a maximum sentence of 3 years while assault attracts a maximum of 5 years
It’s in public domain that Kituyi has been involved in numerous violent attacks to critics of wangamati and his regime and innocent resident. The most memorable ones include;
- An attack on Zachariah Barasa and Lukoye who were protesting misuse of public funds by Wangamati’s regime.
- He is involved in almost all violent activities that Wangamati’s security detail has been adversely mentioned.

I have personally had two encounters with Kituyi worth sharing;
- In 2019 the day Wangamati was to address the assembly… About 8 (Kituyi and others) visited my previous office at Railways Park after noticing I was video-recording a COUNTY-SPONSORED counter-demonstration against a Bodaboda chairman who had earlier in the day organized a successful but inconclusive demonstration against governor Wycliffe Wangamati before he was kidnapped only to appear hours later shaken to the core. Two of the about 8 goons displayed their thirst to have a piece of me… A move that I countered by kicking them out of the meeting (a conversation i was having with the 8). I demanded that I can’t have a discussion with the team if the two goons were in attendance prompting their leaders to ask them out of the meeting.
- He once called me on 25th Jan 2021 at 14:36hours after I made a factual article on ikuweikuwe.com about the violent scenes he masterminded at Lugulu… In the phone call he tried to intimidate me by dropping some threats in vain (audio)
- He has also been several adversely mentioned in other plans to assault me the last I heard of was just after we buried the governor’s mother… He was financed by the public administrations office together with others I choose not to mention to trail and assault me.
- Kituyi has 3 violence-related cases now… I will keenly be following this case to know how it goes, will keep you posted.
- Kituyi has been listed severally at the County commissioner’s watchlist on matters violence/insecurity

With all this you’ll see the county govt use tax-payers funds to buy his release from custody straight onto his normal duties of guarding the governor… That’s why I always say our security agencies have misplaced priories at times and are therefore useless to mwananchi wa kawaida (mnyonge).
