According to Wikipedia;
Social media are interactive technologies and digital channels that facilitate the creation and sharing of information, ideas, interests, and other forms of expression through virtual communities and networks. While challenges to the definition of social media arise due to the variety of stand-alone and built-in social media services currently available, there are some common features:
  1. Social media are interactive Internet-based applications
  2. User-generated content—such as text posts or comments, digital photos or videos, and data generated through all online interactions — is the lifeblood of social media.
  3. Users create service-specific profiles for the website or app that are designed and maintained by the social media organization.
  4. Social media helps the development of online social networks by connecting a user’s profile with those of other individuals or groups
Sometimes, Social media platforms are a common place for arguments over things that do or don’t really matter much. Research shows: People get involved in disagreements and/or social conflicts many times in their time on social media, especially nowadays with everything that’s been happening around the world. Chances are, you may end up engaging in one of them if not more at some point.

The medium of our communication can influence the perception of our understanding of a situation. We may end up taking a very different idea of an argument while reading than that of while watching or listening to that exact same thing.

Bungoma County leadership has not been left out in this kinda arguments as Kabuchai UDA aspirant Dir. Evans Masinde Kakai took on Kimilili MP (Jubilee now UDA) following disagreement on how the Western Mega Rally was planned.

Kakai displayed his frustrations with how things turned out at the rally that was graced by DP William Ruto, Ford Kenya party leader Sen. Moses Wetangula and ANC leader Hon. Musalia Mudavadi among others… He recorded a video which was then posted on “UDA Bungoma Coordinators” WhatsApp forum. This prompted Kimilili MP Hon. Didmus Barasa to react, a move that prompted a chain reaction that almost led to suspension of some members
