Bumula MCA Hon. Humprey Wamalwa has this Wednesday, 5 May 2021 evening been waylaid and attacked by thugs at Kimwanga as he headed home from Bungoma town. At one point the legislator saw one bike stationed in the middle of the road with its full lights on facing him and almost immediately another bike stopped by his side prompting him to swerve avoiding the bike ahead and driving away as the two bikes carrying three people chased him for a while.
Just after crossing Kimwanga/bunambobi bridge on Mayanja river Mheshimiwa heard his rear windscreen get shuttered. He did not stop but instead drove straight to his home as the attackers seized the pursuit.
The 7pm incident has not only left the MCA traumatized but also left the entire Assembly speculating on who is behind such an attack and most importantly their safety.
