A man was at 1600hours this 7th April 2021 afternoon arrested at Mayanja – vitunguu Market, thoroughly beaten forcing him to name his accomplices, revealing their tactics and hideouts… One of the victims then put him on a motorbike to Mechimeru in Kanduyi Constituency where they are scheduled to lynch him upon showing his accomplices/hideout
The suspect is said to have revealed that bikes stolen in Mechimeru are normally kept at Mayanja and vis a vis

Bodaboda riders who have over time been victims of motorbike theft that in most cases leave riders dead have of late adopted the arrest and lynch those they suspect to be involved in the robbery with violence scheme. There has been four known cases of lynching in the past two months around Mayanja involving bodaboda riders.
Bungoma County Commandant Dr. Musyoki and Bungoma OCS Munyoki have informed #iKUWEiKUWE that they have been informed of the incident and have dispatched a team to try and intercept the riders before they cause more bodily harm on the suspect
