“As a supporter of Hon. Majimbo Okumu I remember Mheshimiwa Matibila most for the 2013 election campaigns where we squared with him among others for the Khalaba ward seat… We would race from Wamalwa Kijana thru the various oiling stations to Lupinda in the name of “Protecting our votes”… He could hug me at every meeting in the process to appreciate the stiff Mundu-Khu-Mundu competition… Most importantly, we pulled a violence free, Mature and almost-clean competition. After we won, he’d meet Hon. Majimbo and I with a smile saying ‘nono muli mubwami mwata asi ndie’ we’d then all laugh… namna hiyo namna hiyo”
I’ve lost a friend who carried no grudges. RIP Papa?
