Wetangula returns favor, Kicks out SG Eseli and Wamunyinyi

In Summary;

Wangamati’s Radisson Hotel meeting;

• Wamunyinyi declared new FORD KENYA party leader in interim basis
• Chris Mandu Mandu replaced with Josephine Maundu

Wetangula’s changes to be announced at 13:00 hours today at the party Hq;

• Chris Wamalwa replaces Dr. David Eseli as the party SG.
• Catherine Wambilianga replaces Hon. Wamunyinyi as the Bungoma Chairperson, She’ll be deputized by Wafula Wakoli
• Wamunyinyi replaced by Hon.  Millicent MP for West Mugirango as the sec. of agriculture on NEC
• Onyonka has been retained as the Deputy Party Leader

It all started with a meeting between Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, CS Eugene Wamalwa, Hon.  David Eseli and Hon. Wamunyinyi that resulted into Eseli replacing Hon. Chris Wamalwa as the Minority Whip in parliament. This was followed closed by the Atwoli meeting in which our #iKUWEiKUWE rat informs had no clear agenda… apart from the boring Luhya Unity talk.

Wangamati, Eseli and Wamunyinyi seized the moment to talk about their misfortunes with the Ford Kenya party leader who seems to be championing for change of leadership at the county assembly of Bungoma. This to Wangamati seems like a stab on the back since those who are on the chopping board are his close allies (8 in number out of 52 MCAs). Desperate to retain the current leadership the three hatched a plan to deal Wetangula a devastating blow that would see them seize control of the Ford Kenya party. A coup was hatched.

NOTE; The meeting was attended by 40 MPs, 4 Governors, 10 Senators, SS Ken Lusaka, CS Wamalwa, Speaker Elachi and other eminent Luhya leaders sorry 23 leaders , their aides and of course Jirongo

NAIROBI;

The three musketeers (Wangamati, Wamunyinyi, Eseli) checked themselves into Radisson blu Hotel and invited several randomly selected FORD KENYA (FK) ‘NEC’ members. Some of whom are not on the said NEC. Among those who traveled are;

• Edith Shitandi (Appointed by Wangamati to Bungoma municipality board),
• Patrick Wangamati (Governor Wangamati’s father),
• Rosemary Khisa (Governor Wangamati’s first cousin),
• Peter Wakhuleka (Governor Wangamati’s partisan employee who is not a NEC) member,
• Cynthia mutere (Busia),
• Onyonka (kisii)
• A member from Siaya among others….
• Totaling to 20 out of 63

Hon. Onyonka was nominated to takeover party leadership in a late night meeting that saw a handful sit on a round table to decide the party leadership

Today Sunday, May 31, 2020 Hon. Onyonka was unreachable for the 5am meeting that was supposed to cement Wetangula’s fate… Kumbe he had made up his mind to disassociate with them.

A decision by the three Musketeers was then made to hand over power to Wangamati who chickened out… before they settled on Wamunyinyi on interim basis
