Hon. Joseph Juma Nyongesa (Tuuti/Marakaru – FORD K) replaces Hon. Florence Wekesa (Maeni – FORD K)

▪️ Deputy Majority:

Hon. Tindi Manasseh (Tongaren – FORD K) replaces Hon. Joseph Juma Nyongesa (Tuuti/Marakaru – FORD K)

▪️ Majority whip:

Hon. Meshack Wekesa aka Museveni (Mukuyuni – FORD K) replaces Everlyne Mutiembu (Malakisi/South Kulisiru – FORD K)

▪️ Deputy Majority Whip

Hon. Joseph Magudah (Township – ODM) replaces Hon. Luke Opwora (Nominated)

Assembly Calendar:

▪️ The MCAs also resolved to have weekly meetings each Wednesday starting next week 20th May 2020

▪️This would enable the assembly execute its mandate during these #COVID_19 times

Today’s session was as usual full of drama;

▪️ The document (Speaker’s communication) was transported in 3 different vehicles before landing in the chamber carried by junior staff sidestepping anti-change MCAs

▪️ The anti-change MCAs who had from morning used a Toyota Prado belonging to a contractor who is part of the famous Executive-Cartel and girlfriend to a county executive member… The vehicle was used as a command post for their operations and had been used to coordinate the services of MATEKA goons who were on standby at a nearby restaurant.

▪️ The anti-Change team led by Hon.  Juakali, Hon. Milly, Hon. Wamusai and Hon. Jorum had planned to snatch the speaker’s communication from him just like the NASA team did last time… little did they know that one of them had leaked info about the plan.

▪️When the speaker emerged from his office escorted by Team_Change MCAs led by Hon. Museveni, Hon. Majimbo OKumu, Hon. Magudah, Hon. Tony Barasa among others… Team Anti-change found themselves helpless when they were SHOVED out of the way by their more powerful opponents as they tried to stop the speaker from accessing the house… Hon. Jorum was heard cursing and threatening that “Niko na goons nitakutumia wewe”. It is not yet known who exactly he was referring to in the commotion that saw the speaker Hon. Emmanuel Situma get a high profile security detail who ensured he SAFELY landed on his seat of power.

▪️The speaker read his communication that acknowledged the changes as tabled by the coalition.

▪️ 25/35 NASA MCAs had signed for change.

Kibingei MCA, Hon. Mulongo however lamented that this regime is unfair to people from the upper part of the county. He asked… “Khubela sina efwe bengaki mukhunasia butepyuti? …Ngome, Tindi,” meaning leaders from the upper part of the county have been identified and made to deputize those from the lower side. “This arrangement will kill Ford Kenya existence in my backyard even if we have party SG ‘s position” concluded the angry MCA.

▪️The policemen who had been called to disperse the MCAs in the pretext of #COVID-19 directives… ended up overseeing implementation of the #COVID-19 guidelines for they refused to play politics.
