Further, complaints were raised on;

  •  Refusal by TSC officers to accept applications from teachers who’ve moved homes since applying for National ID cards. This has been termed by teachers as discrimination that was coined to deny deserving teachers (like those who’ve since married, moved homes/stations) a chance. Each applicant is required to seek verification from where he/she applied for his/her National Identity card.
  • Grading has also been highly disputed with those having done sciences being greatly favored by high scores (marks).
  • Age mark: 0 – 39 years old score an equal mark (7 marks)
  • A diploma holders and a degree holder score the same mark (4marks) with those who attained distinction getting 5 marks regardless of subject.
  • There was no level playing field at the verification

One of the participants later voiced his displeasure as follows;

Subject: Complaint on Unfair Treatment During Certificate Verification Exercise
Dear Stakeholders,
I am writing to report issues of perceived unfairness during the certificate verification exercise held on 12th November 2024 at Musikoma Primary School. Many teachers experienced inconsistencies, including unexplained dismissals of qualifications, unequal delays, and perceived bias in decision-making.
We respectfully request an impartial review to ensure a fair and transparent process for all candidates, based solely on their qualifications. This will help maintain the integrity and fairness essential to our profession.

A complaint that was not acted upon thus reaching out to ikuweikuwe.com which is know to voice concerns from the voiceless.

REJOINDER:

In response, Mrs. J.N. Nyakoe indicated that she and her team of five panelists are still in the process of verifying the over 700 applications received yesterday 12th November 2024. She also noted that some who came late but wanted to jump the cue while impatient ones wanted the panelists to work at a pace they desired. She was nevertheless unwilling to reveal the number of applicants TSC intends to pick
