Lucy Khayongo has left relatives, neighbors and friends dumbfounded after they found her lifeless body hanging on a tree at her home in Luyekhe village, West Sang’alo ward in Kanduyi Constituency – Bungoma.
Lucy schooled at Luyekhe primary before joining Sang’alo Secondary where she dropped out at form two but not before she unsuccessfully committed suicide (poison). While at home she got pregnant and delivered a girl before starting her search for a job which landed her in Nairobi.
While Nairobi she once took poison over a love triangle involving her boyfriend and her best girlfriend.
Relatives discovered her body at 5amon 8th June 2023 with nothing else on her apart from a purse that carried phones, sim cards and sanitary pads. Her two phones had been switched off with sim cards removed. “… this village-beauty came home unannounced” said a close relative.
Its not clear what prompted the suicide though.
