A midnight meeting that took place at Hon. Mwambu’s Bumula home on Friday had far reaching consequences in regard to FORD KENYA party wrangles as well as the push for BBI in Bungoma County. In the meeting that was attended by among others; Kanduyi MP Hon. Wafula Wamunyinyi, Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, Sirisia MP Hon. John Waluke, Mt. Elgon MP Hon. Fred Kapondi and the host Bumula MP Mwambu Mabongah who had lost his father. The meeting first started as a condolence visit but quickly transformed into an anti-Weta/Lusaka strategy meeting that also drafted plans to have Wangamati/Wamunyinyi visit Sugoi that very evening.
Earlier in the evening, plans were hatched to heckle and demean Senator Moses Wetangula and Senate speaker Ken Lusaka in response to what happened at the burial of Kabuchai MP James Mukwe on Saturday 19th Dec 2020 where Governors Wangamati, Oparanya and Otichilo were unanimously heckled prompting Oparanya to give Wangamati a lecture on delivery of BBI with a reminder of his doubts on Wangamati’s ability to deliver BBI during the signature collection launch at Mabanga – Bungoma… Wangamati and Wamunyinyi desperately wanted to return the heckling-favor to Wetangula and Lusaka whom they blamed to be behind the politically damaging events while Waluke a longtime political rival to Wetangula has scores to settle with the seasoned politician.
On 20th Dec 2020 Bungoma Senator visited and condoled Bumula MP and his family where the Bumula MP promised that he will not allow heckling and chaos that might spoil the burial. “I’ll bury together with my father anyone who comes here in an attempt to spoil the final send-off” said the legislator 
BURIAL DAY;
Tight Security;
Security was tight at Nakhwana Primary School in Bumula Constituency ahead, during and after the burial ceremony of Mzee Maurice Mabongah.
Speaking to #iKUWEiKUWE Updates, Bumula OCS Salesio Bernard Njeru did an exemplary job informed that they invested in both plain-cloth and uniformed police who ensured “known hecklers” from the front seats
DEAFENING SILENCE ON BBI;
One thing #iKUWEiKUWe Updates noticed was the silence on BBI by all its proponents including Kakamega Governor who was appointed the western region coordinator, Bungoma governor the self-appointed Bungoma coordinator and all the speakers… NONE TALKED POSITIVELY OF BBI apart from Bungoma Deputy Governor Prof. Charles Ngome who only posed a question to Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa for eying the Interior Minister’s position while on the other hand de-campaigns BBI.
Wangamati and Wamunyinyi have said NOTHING in support of BBI for two weeks running since Mukwe’s burial
During the event an uncomfortable Kakamega governor and Council of Governor’s chair Wycliffe Oparanya who is also the ODM deputy party leader had to leave early after sensing that Wangamati was getting politically romantic with the Sugoi kingpin. Oparanya’s Kshs. 500,000/= contribution to the late Mzee Maurice’s family was diverted to roofing of the neighboring Catholic Church as announced by Mwambu. Oparanya said the national govt has agreed to built a Cancer Centre in Western region in a county that will be agreed upon later by the governors. He blamed the government for failing to release funds in good times, a statement that worked against BBI

While addressing the DP, Wangamati asked Ruto to take a back step and allow him and MPs allied to Ruto in Bungoma to arrange Bungoma politics… “I want to assure you (Ruto) that I work very closely with your soldiers here… siasa ya Bungoma tuachie sisi na hawa Wabunge tupange” said Wangamati
Hon. Mwambu asked leaders to help him roof the neighboring Catholic church after eulogizing his father.
Hon. Wamunyinyi begged for Ruto’s recognition as the interim Ford Kenya party leader in upcoming negotiations
Hon. Didmus Barasa reminded Oparanya that Mumias sugar was brought to its knees by an ODM member by the name Kidero and therefore Oparanya should stop blame games and face ODMERs who fleeced Mumias sugar. He indicated that the government should take care of all financial needs for day scholars especially in regard to lunch and any head teacher who sends a student home should be arrested… amid resounding cheers from the public
Hon. Osotsi asked Ruto to hold his presidential ambitions in favor of Luhyas… He counted the many years Kalenjins and Kikuyus have led the country
Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa spoke on his own behalf and later on behalf of the absentee Ford Kenya leader… He blamed the likes of Osotsi for shouting loud about Luhya unity then end up supporting Raila. He concluded by encouraging the DP to work with Wetangula and Musalia and they’ll produce a leader from that team
Trans Nzoia women rep Janet Nangabo asked men (in politics) to step aside and allow her to champion Luhya unity since they’ve failed
Mt. Elgon MP Hon Kapondi asked Oparanya where they intend to get the 35% that’s proposed in BBI if the Kakamega governor is lamenting failure by the national govt to disburse money to counties now with 15% allocation
Lusaka who arrived a little late steered off politics choosing to instead eulogize the departed saying there is time for everything. Lusaka had earlier been tipped of the heckling plans and therefore tactically arrived late in a chopper attracting mourners who escorted him to the dome in large numbers giving the security agents a hard time

- He offered himself to take up leadership role in Luhya-land and therefore will be Ruto’s running mate
- He said “we are behind William Samoei Simiyu Ruto”
Protocol was breached as Gov. Wangamati spoke after Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka in a careful executed plan to have Wangamati get a right of reply should Lusaka tackle him. He asked Ruto to consider upgrading the Sango road as he pledged to continue talking and engaging the DP.
DP Ruto said;
- Wangamati is his friend and they work together
- Listed harambees he has graced; Women groups, bodaboda
- Musakasa TTI upgraded and now accommodates 2,500 from 500 students
- He is ready to work with Luhya leaders
- He asked Luhya leaders to look for him for negotiations not ambushing him during funerals

- He indicated that he enjoys the support of 150 MP, 10 for Musalia and 12 for Wetangula… He then asked how the two can compete with him

HECKLERS/HOOLIGANS PLAN;
On Friday evening 25th, a meeting held at Mareba pub tasked the PA to Dr. Anthony Walela the CEC Health one Anthony Makhanu aka Sudi with the role of coordinating goons/hecklers. Present in the meeting were Munyasi – 1st lady’s office, CO Trade – Stephen Wamalwa Kombo and County Public Service Board Member – Conrad Kituyi
He was advanced Kshs. 101,000/= for facilitation of the hired bodabodas whose work was to beat anti-Wangamati mourners and anyone who’d have shouted the County CEO down… They were also meant to applaud even a cough by the county CEO. Those who were tasked to deliver 20 bodabodas from earmarked stage were;
- Opwong’o – Mateka bodaboda leader (never paid because they heckled no one)
- Marango – Kimaeti bodaboda
Mzee Mabonga passed on 13th of December 2020 while receiving medication at Eldoret Hospital. He was laid to rest on 26th Dec 2020 at Mwiyenga village in Bumula Constituency, Bungoma County.

- CONFIRMED; Wangamati, Wamunyinyi, Waluke, Kapondi, Didmus and Dan are scheduled to visit Sugoi on 2nd January 2020 to cement Wangamati/Wamunyinyi relationship with the country’s second in command… As Wetangula hosts both Ford Kenya and Jubilee MCAs to issue a statement on 3rd January after MCAs visited his home today 27th Dec 2020 to inform him of their political concerns
- Wetangula made a mistake by missing this function… Whatever the heckling plans that were in place were a shum and the public upon seing him would have applauded him just like Hon. Didmus Barasa outsmarted them with his choice of speech.
- I noticed Alice Wapopa was unfairly removed from her front-seat after Wangamati’s security detail marked her as a Lusaka supporter who succeefully and easily leads the public into heckling Wangamati… This happened as wangamati’s hired goons easily and without any restrictions heckled any leader who is labeled anti-Wangamati according to their Terms of Reference (ToR)
- Wangamati who has allegedly recruited Sirisia MP – Hon Waluke, Mt. Elgon MP – Kapondi and now Bumula MP – Mwambu on a 200,000 allowance per weekend was obviously traumatized by the heckling he received at Kabuchai Constituency during the burial of the late Hon. James Mukwe on 19th Dec 2020.

ODM FRUSTRATIONS; Wangamati was expected by ODM party to back its Kabuchai Constituency candidate in the upcoming by-election following the demise of the area MP the late Hon. James Mukwe but its increasingly becoming obvious that he will support a candidate of Ruto’s choice leaving ODM hanging even after the party shamed, antagonised and penalized its longest serving MCA in the region Hon. Majimbo Okumu for refusing to unprocedurally play ball in saving Wangamati who was facing an impeachment
Following the lodging of an impeachment motion by Prof Nyukuri Barasa, Bungoma governor Wycliffe Wangamati ran to ODM SG Edwin Sifuna for assistance in setting up a meeting with Raila Odinga… In the meeting Wangamati;
- Asked baba to whip 9 ODM MCAs to vote down the impeachment petition at the early stages in a meeting that allegedly costed Wangamati and therefore Bungoma County Kshs. 2,000,000 as a fee to get baba to the table with a balance of 18,000,000 outstanding to date
- Pledged to join ODM and be its gubernatorial candidate come 2022
- A balance of 18 million is alleged to be pending in their supposed agreement
Close relatives and friends of Hon. Majimbo Okumu have unanimously advised him to defect from the dictatorial and unappreciative party that knows no democracy but the experienced MCA has stayed put saying he’ll fight from within ODM the party he helped introduce and keep afloat in Bungoma, the party he loves.
