Residents fault Kanduyi MP for installing USELESS Automatic Sanitizer booths

On Tuesday May 12, 2020 Kanduyi MP, Hon. Atanus Wafula Wamunyinyi flagged off distributions of FREE foodstuffs, facemasks and Automatic Sanitizer booths to Kanduyi residents. He was accompanied by among others Fr. Wanyonyi of the Catholic Church

The Automatic Sanitizer booths have NEVER worked since they were launched… Residents have expressed their disgust saying “hii kitu ilikataa, ambia mheshimiwa akuje abebe aende tu nayo… tumezoea kunawa”. They say the motor was carried away after the launch rendering the booth #Covid-19 useless for it is just like a ‘photograph’ now

A human rights activist took to #iKUWEiKUWE Movement facebook page to address the issue as follows;

When we live in the era where politicians literally auctions the public for personal gains. When Hon. Athanas Wafula Wamunynyi brought this sanitizer booths he had received down payment for going to rock the LION party. Now he calls himself pati lita.
Through the oversight rolls that #bungomaliberation attend to. We went round his constituency checking if a month later this booths really are working.
Right from town stage, to ekitale junction to his own homestead of Mechimeru. ALL SANITIZER BOOTHS ARE NOT WORKING.
I personally find this playing with people lives and moneys. I want to condemn my area mp’s act of hoodwinking the public.

You can fool some people at some times but you cannot fool all the people at all times.
