70 year-old man defiles his 6 year-old granddaughter, his brothers arrested for stealing a cow to buy his freedom

Butieli residents are in shock following the emergence of a defilement case from a family whose members have previously been adversely mentioned in such vices.

Mzee Chrispinus Wanyonyi Wambuyusi was on Sunday 11th Aug 2024 arrested for defiling his 6year old granddaughter. Upon realizing what had happened his two brothers matched to Bungoma County Referral Hospital (BCRH) where the girl had been taken for medical attention and instructed the family to kill the story.

The two Mr. Clement Wambuyusi and Pat Wambuyusi then decided to sell a cow belonging to Mzee Chrispinus (suspect) without the consent of his wife so as to buy his freedom before court. It is alleged that they sold the animal at Kshs. 27,000  tried bribing junior officers here and there but were shocked to realize that Bungoma South OCS Mr. David Odongo was hearing none of that. The OCS instructed the family with the aid of officers from the gender office to conduct medical examination and filling of the P3 form as mzee Chrispinus was locked up in preparation for court appearance.

The wife to Chrispinus (grandmother to the child) maintained that the case must proceed to court having busted her husband in the bedroom after she heard the kid crying. The man just like the girl was half naked with his male organ dripping while the girl had semen splashed all over her private parts. The young girl was lying on her back.

The suspect was arraigned in court today Tuesday 13th Aug 2024 following reception of doctor’s report and therefore conclusion of investigations and was denied bail.

Some family members have nevertheless been threatening to throw out the grandmother of the minor who is a key witness out of her home. Odongo had again to step in and issue a warning to them promising very harsh action.

Meanwhile, the buyer of the cow was later traced and arrested for handling stolen property following a protest by the girl’s grandmother and of course backed up by ikuweikuwe.com CEO #eDDUHSimiyu. The Police also arrested two men (Martin and Clement) who sold the cow and recovered the animal.

In a new twist Mr. Dennis Sifuna a son to the alleged suspect did offer to replace his two uncles at Kibabii police post cell after being convinced that this was the only way to secure freedom for his father. Dennis who was actually with his mother at BCRH when the cow was being sold by the two was released and wazees re-arrested on 13th Aug 2023 morning following another intervention by ikuweikuwe.com who explained to Kibabii Police boss what had gone down.

ikuweikuwe.com is further informed that the two brothers to the suspect and the cow buyer have this 13th Aug 2024 evening been released after the suspect’s wife declared no-interest in the case of stolen cow after its recovery.

Mzee Chrispinus is alleged to have previously had a relationship with his eldest daughter as well younger one who he tricked by convincing her that he was not her biological father.

Ikuweikuwe.com has further learnt that the eldest brother to the suspect Mr. David Wambuyusi is currently in court on defilement case involving a class five girl. The girl who was introduced to enticements in form of cash and sweet things has since dropped out of school. He is born 1961. He’s expected to appear in court on 19th Aug 2024.
