COUNTY ASSEMBLY MOURNS THE DEMISE OF HON. JACOB NAKUWA EKAAL, FORMER MCA KIBISH WARD
The Speaker has formally communicated to the House the untimely demise of one of the senior Members, Hon. Jacob Nakuwa Ekaal, the immediate former member of Kibish Ward who passed on 1st February 2024 after a long illness. Hon. Nakuwa served in the County Assembly from 2013 to 2022. During his tenure ,he served as the Vice Chair of the Committee on Justice, Human Rights and Legal Affairs, Member to the Committee on Agriculture, Pastoral Economy & Fisheries and the Committee on County Delegated Legislation.
He served diligently in discharging his Constitutional mandates of representation , legislating and oversight for and on behalf of Kibish Ward constituents. He was an ardent debater both in plenary and committee sittings. He always made his contributions eloquently and clearly regardless of other Members’ view points.
In their tributes ,Honorable members eulogized Hon Nakuwa as an astute leader who stood for truth, equity and justice.
May his soul rest in Peace.
