TIMAU POLICE STATION.SUBJECT: DEATH OF A POLICE OFFICER/SUICIDE INCIDENT REPORT.

It was reported by no. 252423 PC.James Mugo through tel.No. 0726 425104 that a gun shot was heard at Ngushishi police post line at the house of No.70128 Cpl.Simon Gitonga which is situated about 4kms East of the station . Police officers from Timau Police station led by SCPC Buuri West, Sccio, D/ocs Timau and contingent of police officers visited the post and on opening the door of the said officer , his dead body was found in a pool of blood on the floor with his gun AK 47 s/no. AKE KP60036303 by his side. It was discovered that he had shot himself on the chin and the bullet exiting through his upper right ear. One empty cartridge and suicide note was recovered. In the suicide note he alleged having been conned by a woman friend by the name Purity Kathure who is still at large. Scene processed and documented. The body removed to Nanyuki referral mortuary awaiting postmortem.Case P.U.I DCI Buuri west dealing.
