Ahead of issuance of menstrual cups by Wanami Wamboka Foundation to school going girls in Bumula constituency schools, the team yesterday trained a nurse from the sub-County hospital and 7 Community Health Promoters (CHPs) who will oversee the exercise.
The ward based CHPs will in turn this week train 5 ladies per ward who will move across schools to engage teachers and train the girls on the reusable hygienic essentials and finally give the package to the girls.
Through the foundation, Hon Wamboka will distribute 50,000 pieces to promote menstrual health and support the girl child to pursue education with dignity.
