A Bungoma Pastor has on 1st Aug evening left residents dumbfounded following realization of his heinous act committed at his residence. Pastor Gerald Kamanga Gichohi 49 sent his brother a rather half-baked text message detailing what had transpired as well as a kinda will but fell short of revealing his whereabouts. This then triggered a chain reaction of events which eventually led to the discovery of a lifeless Margaret Wanjiku Kamanga 40 who had several stab wounds.
The text message reads;

My rat informs that Pastor Kamanga a minister at Victory Centre located in Khalaba Ward opposite Wings Hotel along the Bungoma – Mumias road is alleged to have been involved in numerous quarrels with his wife over her infidelity for a long time. Long before they got married Pastor is said to have separated with her only to mend fences in time for their marriage.
It is also alleged that stories from the scene of accident indicate that Pastor always fought with his wife over infidelity where in one moment of fury prompted by Margaret’s don’t-care attitude he was heard saying “nitakuuwa siku moja”. On this night Margaret had to seek refuge at the neighbour’s home until the following day where they had successful reconciliatory talks at the Church. Two weeks later it reoccurred and again they talked, and life went on.
It is alleged that Pastor saw some phone conversations between his wife and a man called Wahome that prompted him to kill her on the 30/31st July night, dragged her lifeless body out of the house and packed his belongings for a 357Km trip to his Nyandarua home with his youngest child. He hid the house keys at a neighbours shop on his way out.
The perimeter fence around the home prevented anyone from seeing inside and therefore the reason why her body wasn’t discovered until he sent a text to his brother on 31st July 2023 at about 5pm.
Upon receiving the text, relatives and neighbours accessed his home to find Margaret’s lifeless body lying outside the house.
An immediate manhunt was launched by Police and relatives only to discover he had already arrived in Nyandarua and had taken huge amounts of drugs in a bid to take his life possibly immediately after sending the text which did not to take full effect. He was immediately rushed to Hospital for treatment and is now in Police custody.
The two have three children. All are unharmed including the 4year old he traveled with.
