Glad to have been part of the Investor’s Forum in Rabat Morocco that was Organized by the Pan African Congress Kenya Chapter in collaboration with the Moroccan embassy in Nairobi Kenya.
The highlight of the event was showcasing how Morocco has been able to establish 12 fully operationalized aggregated industrial parks one in each region with most of them focusing on agribusiness. The industrial parks in the developed regions have transformed rural economies.
This comes in the wake of counties plan to set aggregated parks throughout the country. Each county is expected to contribute Sh250 million towards the implementation of the project in the next financial year with the national government boosting each county with a similar amount.
I was also impressed with their success story on fertilizer production and use of solar energy which is worthy implementing back home.
Also in attendance was Principal Secretary Devolution Teresia Mbaika, governors Mutahi Kahiga- Nyeri, Wavinya Ndeti -Machakos , Amos Nyaribo _Nyamira), Achani Fatuma -Kwale and the Deputy Governor Nairobi County Muchiri Njoroge.
