Susan Wanyonyi who until her death lived and worked in Garissa County met her death on Sunday, April 9, 2023 morning as she took tea to her boyfriend who was quite a distance from home. She was attacked midway and stabbed by unknown attacker allegedly for improper dress code. The attacker then fled the scene leaving the lady bleeding profusely as she sought for help. She was taken to hospital by good Samaritans but unfortunate succumbed to the knife attack that went thru her heart. She was pronounced dead at 10:30am

She had about two years ago left Bungoma looking for a house help job but had never come back home since landing in Garissa and subsequently.

Speaking to ikuweikuwe.com her brother David indicated that their family had opted to reach out to ikuweikuwe.com for assistance get funds bring her body home after their effort to reach leaders hit a brick wall.

Postmortem was conducted on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 revealing that she died from the deep knife attack that pierced through her heart. The family therefore is soliciting for funds to bring home the body for direct burial or to a local morgue.

Susan’s father Mzee Robert Lukendo Wanyonyi is a sand harvester, Wapukha cattle dip caretaker and a small scale farmer at Wapukha village while her mum mama Ruth Makunda Mulialia is a housewife. They have resolved to sell their only piece of land in Namwela ward ~ Sirisia Constituency to enable them transport their daughter’s body home for burial after they only managed Kshs. 15,000 in the recently conducted fundraiser that was widely ignored by leaders.

Susan’s three remaining siblings (2 sisters and a brother) don’t have stable jobs with the brother earning wages from construction jobs not enough to foot such a huge bill.
