As curtains drew to a close on the interviews for Chief Officers for various departments by TransNzoia County Public Service Board, all eyes are now fixed on Gov. George Natembeya to pick his point men and women that will help in delivering his endearing manifesto that won him hearts in the just concluded general elections. Natembeya won with a landslide by shoveling aside his main rival former Kiminini MP Dr. Chris Wamalwa, and residents are upbeat that he will fix the mess that had sunk TransNzoia County into abyss in the last 10 years.
Among the notable luminaries who appeared before the panel for grilling are Dr. Akoto – The Western Union Doctors boss for Health, Dr. Kegode Nancy current Transnzoia’s Director Health, Dr. Wanjala Emmanuel a former Kitale County Referral Medical Superintendent and and Dr. Zaietun Mulaa a Pharmacist in the County.
Other Chief Officer candidates include; Mr. John Meng’wa and Dorothy Nyukuri for Water & Environment, CPA Amos Ataro , Caroline Naliaka and Brigid Namonyo for Finance , and Mr KUPPET chief Mr Wakasiaka Mwichabe and Former CEC Agriculture Mrs. Mary Nzomo in the Agriculture Docket.
The Board retreated and forwarded 3 names to the governor for nomination to the County Assembly for vetting and Appointment.
