A task force (TF) is a unit or formation established to work on a single defined task or activity. Originally introduced by the United States Navy, the term has now caught on for general usage and is a standard part of NATO terminology. Many non-military organizations now create “task forces” or task groups for temporary activities that might have once been performed by ad hoc (designated purpose) committees. ~ Wikipedia

Total disregard of the Court order on Casual workers’ employment;
The list of casuals recognised by the court; Casuals – Bungoma 9-7-2020 two
Recently the outgoing government doctored the list of casuals as they admitted girlfriends, relatives, slay queens/kings while leaving out legit casuals who’ve suffered for years serving this county
Unfair dismissal of staff at Mabanga ATC
This notice took me back to 30th Sep 2021 (exactly a year ago) when I did a story on corruption, nepotism and mismanagement at Mabanga ATC. A senior employee at the Centre of all this was also accused of squandering;
- Worker’s allowances for competitions (Western and national)
- Lunch allowances
- Airtime
What is more annoying is; The county attorney Mr. Cyril Simiyu Wayong’o convened a meeting of all Mabanga staff where they were expected to open up and share more on the happenings at their place of work, which they did.
To their surprise, this was used against them. Someone reported them to Mabanga ATC tractors’ manager Mr. Robert Lusweti who in turn notified the Agriculture CECM Mr. Makanda. The CECM instructed him to punish anyone who spoke negatively at Cyril’s meeting for they were deemed as traitors who were leaking information.
To cut the story short: One of the staff members was then struck off the payroll without proper procedure and was therefore verbally notified by Lusweti of his dismissal. Since then the operator has religiously been reporting to work with no single assignment or salary/wage coming his way.
#iKUWEiKUWE Corner;
Workers prepares to lodge formal complaints tomorrow to this taskforce they wonder whether the presence this will be another meeting meant to qualify those who speak their minds as traitors.
