Kimilili Constituency was drafted among the hotly contested seats that featured names like Patrick Wandili and Adv. Bryan Khaemba taking on the incumbent Hon. Didmus Barasa. The Bungoma Chief Officer Health Mr. Patrick Wandili who awarded recently as the most Transformative and Progressive Chief Officer in Kenya by the County Gala Awards held in Mombasa on Saturday 5th March 2022 has taken to social media to inform and therefore explain his decision not to step down in favor of politics.
He wrote;
“To all my supporters who have have been asking if I am contesting the Kimilili parliamentary race. It’s clear that I quit from this Parliamentary Race, I would like to make this clear that I have not step down for someone neither favor of somebody. Reason to why I decided to quit the Race, and that:These are the ONLY 4 important things that made me Quit from this Race:
- I haven’t finished the work that I was given by the Governor
- I must Finnish my projects that I Started on the health sector
- Prepare to work for the people of Kimilili.
