Through BRYAN KHAEMBA an advocate of the High Court of Kenya, 29 aggrieved residents have moved to court to petition the recruitment and deployment of Village Administrators. A BUNGOMA Court halts deployment and remuneration of recently-trained village Admins until the matter is conclusively heard and determined by the court. Justice Keli of Employment and Labor Relations Court directed County Attorney to ensure the orders are followed to the letter.

The case challenging the deployment and assumption of office for Bungoma County Village Administrators took a new twist yesterday 6th Dec 2021 when the 29 petitioners requested the Labour Court to hear the case VIRTUALLY after credible intelligence reports showed a plan to attack the complainants and their legal team. In a letter addressed to Bungoma Law Court through the Deputy Registrar of Employment and Labor Relations Court, Wakili Bryan Khaemba, representing the petitioners, said all the 256 village Admins have been deployed to attack them.

In a terse ruling delivered this 7 Dec 2021 morning when the issue came up for mention, Justice Keli said any official who will pay village administrators their salaries will personally be liable.

29 petitioners, represented by Wakili Bryan Khaemba, headed to the court after the County Public Service Board failed to explain how the exercise, riddled with massive malpractices, was conducted.

On 2nd Nov. 2021 Bungoma County Public Service Board published in the Standard Newspaper an advertisement which invited qualified residents for Applications for 236 positions of Village Administrators JG “G”
