Gov. Oparanya touring Chekalini Water project

Straight from a nationwide tour with Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga the Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya is back touring projects in his County. He today Wednesday October 6, 2021 visited one of his mega projects located in Lugari, a project that has been the talk of Kakamega and will ultimately enhance water supply in Lugari and its environs

The two-time Governor and former Council of Governor’s chairman took to his Facebook page with the following message;

Today my tour of Lugari Sub County started at Chekalini ward where I visited the Chekalini Water project to inspect the ongoing construction work.
The County has invested Ksh 100 million in the water project that draws water from Chekalini Dam, purified before supplied to wananchi.
I am impressed with the work being done on the project which will be operationalized in December this year to supply water to residents of the Sub County.

Before my term ends I will ensure that residents access clean tap water at their doorsteps as I promised in my manifesto.
Two weeks ago I was in Likuyani where I met stakeholders and discussed development matters.
My team presented a comprehensive report on development projects my Government has initiated in the Sub County and those I intend to set up.
I am touring all the 12 Sub Counties to inspect development projects and engage residents on development matters.
