It was a sigh of relief for students, teachers and parents from Kiminini Constituency following the launch of 35,000,000 million Bursary Fund today Monday, 5 June 2021 at Kiungani Secondary School ground. While presiding over the launch, area member of parliament Hon. Dr. Chris Wamalwa CBS said the funds has come at a time when parents and schools are facing hard times caused by Corona Virus pandemic and financial constraints. He highlighted that the board gave priority to students from less privileged families and disabilities.
“Through the National Government Constituency fund, I will do all it takes to ensure that no student is chased away from school due to lack of school fees” he reiterated
Wamalwa challenged students to take their studies seriously as this will lay a firm foundation for their future. He also advised them to observe high standard of discipline, noting that good morals are the only avenue for good performance, leading to a bright future.
Friends School Kabuyefwe Principal Mr. John Buloa who doubles as Kenya Schools Heads Association (KESHA) sub county chairman thanked the MP for investing well in education citing Storey buildings, buses and now bursary. He asked the MP to continue with such visionary leadership that’s making Kiminini a Centre of Excellence
Kiungani Secondary Principal Mrs. Priscilla Wasike who was the host thanked the MP for considering her School as a venue for such a noble function. She applauded the bursary scheme for through it students from poor families will study uninterrupted
