I wish to bring to the attention of the public and well-wishers the story of eight children abandoned by their parents and leaving on their own in a very unconducive environment. Their mother is alleged to be moving from market to market stealing petty things to facilitate her drinking habits of illicit brew and she never comes home. Their father who never comes home is a Shamba-boy in Gilgil while the eldest of these children (a girl) aged about 17 years having married and separated from her husband is now in charge of the family. The last born girl is about three and half years but she is malnutritioned to the extent that she has never been able to walk. None of the children goes to school. Some of the boys move around doing manual jobs for residents to fend for the family. They’re infested with jiggers to a very horrible extent. They reside in Ndivisi location, Sinoko sub location in Webuye East Sub County – Bungoma just a few meters from Sinoko shopping Centre.
