Kakamega residents are bracing for a historic moment later this month , as engineers put final touches on one of Kenya’s largest Solar power plants located at Mwale Medical and Technology City (MMTC).
The solar power plant located in the industrial district of MMTC will go live after next week. It will enable MMTC to meet its energy demands especially for the 5,000 patient capacity Hamptons hospital.
The solar power plant will see the upgrade from 1 MW to 10 MW and later on to 50MW in line with the energy demands in the City.
The completion of the solar power plant on schedule is a testament to the professionalism exhibited by the MMTC team. Just like more than a dozen other major projects completed at MMTC, our team turned what appeared once as a dream into reality with hundreds of lifetime jobs now available at the solar power plant to Kenyans.
