Having taken the bold step to check my Covid-19 status at Bungoma County Referral Hospital on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 @1430hours, I did so with a lot uncertainty since I have been freely mingling with some of the suspected leaders. The two sample collection processes were NOT painful BUT somehow uncomfortable;
- Nose; Naso Phalangeal swab
- Mouth; Oral Phalangeal swab
Covid-19 test is FREE of charge
Today Saturday, October 17, 2020 after doing some early morning CSR at the police station (ensuring my friends are released from police cell) I proceeded to collect my results from the same venue (a tent at BCRH gate) but did not find the specialist in charge who I was informed that he doesn’t work on Saturdays and Sundays. I then opted to call the Public Health Officer who doubles as the Covid-19 coordinator Mr. Moses Wambusi to give me the results I had been anxiously waiting for since Friday Oct 16th… I was getting nervous you know
In my conversation with him he informed me that;
- Am Covid-19 NEGATIVE
- They no longer issue Covid-19 test result certificates
CONCERNS / PROBLEMS;
- A member of #iKUWEiKUWE is positive and is currently in a govt. ISOLATION facility… With a high likelihood more members will be turning positive in the coming days
- More than 12 MCAs are Covid-19 positive BUT they are choosing to keep it secret while mingling with the public as they secretly receive treatment
- An MP is Covid-19 positive… He almost collapsed at a function held in a Chief Officer’s home where Wangamati and most of our leaders are said to have been infected
- Huu ugonjwa wa Covid-19 ni ujeuri sana… A couple can have one partner testing positive while the other tests negative.
