DIDMUS BARASA RETURNS FAVOR IN A POLITICAL WARFARE WITH GOVERNOR WANGAMATI
Kimilili Constituency politics has been blessed with a number of interested candidates among them High Court Advoc. Bryan Khaemba, Masafu, Agric. CEC Mathews Makanda, Eng. Chris Kikechi, Peter Makokha who intent to dethrone the incumbent… but non seems to have caught the attention of the area MP like one fronted by Governor Wycliffe Wangamati.
Speaking during the launch of the newly constructed Male and Female wards at Bahai dispensary which were built by the Kimilili legislator via his DidmusWaBarasa Foundation Corporate Social Responsibility program, Barasa took time to inform the public that he is aware of Bungoma governor Wycliffe Wangamati’s plans to front someone to battle him for the Kimilili seat and therefore promised to return the favor saying; He will soon name my preferred candidate for the gubernatorial seat since Wangamati has decided to front an opponent in Kimilili.
The choice of occasion to pass this message was timely and perfect since health is a devolved function but the MP had to step in to cushion Bahai residents by building two much needed wards (male and female)
An #iKUWEiKUWE rat informs me that Wangamati’s preferred candidate is not Mathews Makanda Mukisu as earlier thought in some quotas but the Chief Officer Health, Patrick Wandili. The former teacher is said to be currently laying ground in preparation for a launch at the right time and is seen as one of the main possible challengers to Barasa
Contacted, Chief Officer Patrick Wandili said his priority is service delivery to the people of Bungoma in matters health in line with governor Wycliffe Wangamati’s manifesto… additionally he said that he meets residents because of Governor’s re-election in 2022.
