Why Governor Wangamati was chased twice in Tongaren despite goodies

Governor Wangamati’s tour to Tongaren last Saturday, July 4, 2020 was quite chaotic to the extent that at one point he had to call out the OCPD and OCS to come to his aid in controlling the crowd. A crowd that was comprised Hons Tindi/Musebe and their supporters. This chaotic scene can only be blamed on Wangamati himself as he is said to have planned to launch the ward office minus the presence of the area MCA.

Tindi concluded by asking Tongaren to support Senator Moses Masika Wetangula

FlashBack: Caro Masete, the Chief Officer in the department of Youth and Sports was spotted at Market places dishing out cash to induce locals so as to allow the governor a soft landing when he turns up to launch the Ward administration office. Caro and/or Wangamati did not bother to inform the area MCA, Hon. Tindi manasseh about this function. Caro is said to have found it extremely difficult to explain to the residents she managed to approach since majority of them felt neglected by the county govt. It’s only upon the sight of money that made them cool down and accept to attend with a further promise that ‘governor mwenyewe atawaongezea mkimpea security poa”

The area MCA received intel from her mole in Wangamati’s inner circle that Caro and Wangamati had held meetings for three (3) consecutive days planning the ward tour but were not intending to involve her. Her mole advised her to show up otherwise “hawa watu watakumaliza” concluded the mole prompting the MCA who felt UNFAIRLY left to travel immediately from Kisumu where she had been participating in a Budget committee meeting.

• Area MCA Tindi Manasseh storms the event amid songs and dances escorted by a huge number of women.

Wangamati asked Wetangula to keep quiet and allow him do his work

• Tindi is at one point allowed to speak. In her speech…
  1. Starts by assuring the governor that she doesn’t intend and has no powers to block him from visiting her ward contrary to rumours peddled by Wangamati’s handlers
  2. She asked the governor to complete the construction of the maize miller started by Tongaren MP, Hon. Dr. Eseli
  3. Asked the Governor to construct piped water to Lukhuna, Mabusi, Katimba, Sokomoko and Makhongo
  4. Tindi concluded by asking Tongaren residents to support Senator Moses Wetangula

 Fred Musebe arrives and is allowed to speak… in his speech;

• 1. He also reiterated what Tindi had said earlier that they have no intention blocking the governor from visiting Tongaren
  2. He asked Wangamati to stay focused on delivering his mandate coz come 2022 residents will want to evaluate what he has done in 5 years
  3. He told Caro Masete to stop peddling rumors, politicking and instead concentrate on working for the County govt as her ToR demands… At this point hell broke loose… One Caleb barasa snatched the mic from Musebe telling him that “they” won’t sit back and watch him undress “their” boss like that… he attacked Musebe and was joined by among others Governor Wangamati’s personal bodyguard by the name Casper*. Casper is said to have been the most vicious of the attackers punching the MCA severally (the program was halted for some time as Wangamati’s executive goons worked on Musebe… Hon. Tindi was at this point wild seeing her colleague being beaten for telling Wangamati the truth. she too was pushed and shoved around by another click of goons

Tongaren MCA, Hon.  Tindi manhandled;

• Governor Wangamati’s speech was initially interrupted by the uncontrollable Tindi. The governor kept begging the OCS and OCP to move in and restore order but the OCS who was present and witnessed everything KNEW that Wangamati and his goons were on the wrong and so refused to send Tindi away. When Wangamati go a chance to speak he said…
  • He had secured 500 million to complete the remaining part of Misikhu-Brigadier Road
  • He would personally be touring and/or supervising county govt projects
  • He also informed the public that the Nzoia Sugar Co. football bus was NOT a donation from the President but was bought by governors from Bungoma, Kakamega, Trans Nzoia, Busia and CS Wamalwa
  • We also agreed with the President on;
    • Revival of the sugar industry
      • 62 Billion Debt written off
      • Gazettement of new sugar reguralions
      • Zero illegal sugar importation
      • The National govt to assist in Completion of Misikhu-Brigadier road

Nominated MCA, Hon. Musebe attacked;

Wangamati left venue amid few chants of “WAMITUNGI, WAMITUNGI, WAMITUNGI… from venue-fillers

• • CS Matiang’i and his team to visit  Bungoma on 20/21st of June 2020
  • He then asked Wetangula to keep quiet and allow him do his work… before announcing that he was headed to Mabusi and Ambichi roads
  • Word went round like wildfire that Wangamati’s executive goons had assaulted MCA Musebe and Tindi (their {Tongaren’s} own).
  • Wangamati left venue after dishing out handouts to lined up residents
• Brigadier in Mitua/Soysambu where he briefly addressed but his speech was cut short when he asked residents if they’d wish to hear about FORD KENYA ‘stories’. Residents started heckling as they started shouting WETAAAA WETAAA (meaning they support Wetangula) him forcing him to cut short his speech. One executive goon then slapped a resident who was loudest forcing the residents to return the favor. Wangamati was literary chased from the venue amid chants of WAMITUNGI, WAMITUNGI, WAMITUNGI… As the governor was taking off the circumcision song (sioyaya) was sang by the residents as they chased after his motorcade
• Mabusi road launch could easily qualify to be the shortest in Wangamati’s tenure… Pro-Tindi youths who were obviously not happy with how their MCA was handled barricaded the road, burnt tires, chanted WAMITUNGI, WAMITUNGI, WAMITUNGI… sources say they also sang for him Sioyaya (a Bukusu circumcision song) and yes! Wangamati’s motorcade was stoned cutting short his visit in Tongaren.
