A defilement suspect was on Saturday, June 27, 2020 saved by Webuye police from angry residents who wanted to lynch him after he was intercepted with 2 underage girls at Kwa Dina area.
The office of Mama Bungoma County, Hon. Catherine Wambilianga through a tip-off from suspecting neighbors intercepted the man who has been staying with the two girls in a rental house near Dina, Webuye.
“The idleness amongst our Youths occasioned by Covid-19 outbreak is the main cause of such cases. My office has in the recent days received many cases of this kind. As the Woman Rep, my office is alert and ready to deal with such cases conclusively. We have intercepted them, taken them to Webuye police station to obtain a statement and currently at the hospital for a medical report then proceed. This vice must stop!”
