US government donates 10 vehicles to DCI-Kenya and EACC

The Director of Criminal Investigations – Kenya, Mr. George Kinoti received the US Ambassador Mr. Kyle McCarter at DCI Headquarters in a colorful reception of Ten Motor Vehicles donated to DCI and EACC by the US government to fasten the nip in the war against corruption.

Through the US Ambassador’s initiative christened “USA Marafiki” each of the two institutions received five Toyota Hilux single cabin vehicles, aimed at enhancing the mobility of officers and capacitating their operations.

Commending the Kenyan government through the two entities for its relentless muscles in battling corruption, Mr. McCarter pointed out that the donation was a gesture of the US government’s commitment to support Kenya’s endeavour of bringing crime to its knees.

On the other hand, Mr. Kinoti pledged the optimization of the aid received, saying that the five vehicles would be given to the Anti-Nacortics Sensitive Investigation Unit to help it in intensifying crackdowns and other major operations.

He further thanked the US embassy for frequenting their aid to the National Police Service, assuring that none of its efforts would be let down.

The mid-morning function was attended by several representatives from EACC, DCI HQS staff and the US embassy.
