- October 30 2018; Governor Cornel Rasanga presided over the contract signing of the construction of the 20,000-seater capacity ultra-modern stadium at the Siaya County Headquarters being a key flagship project
- Cost – Ksh. 390 Million
- Scheduled completion period – 44 to 47 weeks
