The Lwandanyi MCA wrote on social media in response a petition posted by Bungoma County Agriculture and Health CECs

“Bungoma County Executive is purportedly seeking to have the County Government dissolved. The question is what are the grounds?

The County Assembly has moved to question the many scandals by the County Executive, as part of its oversight role. They claimed that the 10k jerrycan heist was propaganda, now EACC is on it.  Is this a ground for dissolution?

The County Assembly changed leadership in a bid to improve its legislative and oversight roles. The Executive wants to imagine that, because we now have firm assembly leaders who will not dance to their whims, that is a ground for dissolution. Let it be known that the purge on non-performing individuals will extend to the County Executive. As the Assembly, we shall not spare corrupt and/or inept public servants.

Bungoma County residents should know that the County Executive was supposed to have submitted the 2020/2021 budget estimates to the Assembly by 30th April 2020. Yet until now, no such estimates have been submitted. Should we be talking about dissolution or resignation by the executive?

Under the new County Assembly leadership, we shall not entertain any attempts by the executive to bribe, in whatever form, any member of the County Assembly. We shall not allow any of our members to go to bed with the executive. If that is a ground for dissolution of the County Government of Bungoma, then we surely need fresh classes on the Constitution of Kenya 2010.

Bring it on. We started fumigation at the assembly coming to sanitize the executive soon; this will lead to institutions distance or social distance, then fair playing ground for our Bungoma people to get development across the county.

No amount of intimidation, blackmail will stop team change and the assembly to discharge its constitutional mandate be warned.
