Residents of Sang’alo and Lwanda villages in Bungoma were yesternight treated to a double lynching drama after unlucky suspected motorbike thieves who had been terrorizing the area were arrested by citizens, forced to narrate/show how they conduct their business before finishing them off.

This sting operation was prompted by an attack on one Emmanuel a bodaboda rider who about a week ago picked two men at Sangalo market for Bungoma town only to be attack about two kilometers away at Siaka village. They rained on him with blunt objects leaving him for dead as they took away his bike, one donated to him by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

Upon recovering he described his attackers prompting the operation that led to arrest of the first suspect at Musikoma bakery yesterday 3rd Sep 2025. He then led them to the person who bought the stolen bike at Swamp village deep in Uganda. Backed up by a convoy of bodaboda riders who also directed him on what / how to communicate with buyer, the suspect successfully got to the buyer who was gotten off-guard for instead of receiving another stolen bike he was arrested and brought to Kenya to face justice.

They arrived back at night but as fate would decide a decision was made not to hand over the two to the police for they’d be in the streets in days thanks to our judicial system. At around midnight irate residents killed the first suspect upon reaching Lwanda area before proceeding to Sang’alo airport area where the second one was also beaten to death.

The two are also associates with animal theft in the wider Western region with suspicion that they have accomplices spread within the region

This comes hours just before Internal Security CS Kipchumba Murkomen visits Bungoma on a JUKWAA LA USALAMA
