NHIF medical insurance cover
Yesterday Monday 27, 2021 Kitui County signed an MOU with NHIF to provide medical insurance cover to over 100,000 households. Governor Charity Ngilu will officially launch the KITUI-UHC this coming Friday October 1, 2021 to assist Kitui residents minimize the out-of-pocket expenses in meeting medical bills.

Mama Ngilu has also indicated that Kitui County has the highest number of medical facilities by any county in this country, 298 up from 187 when she assumed office adding that the county recently employed 621 more medical personnel to serve the new facilities.
The medicines consignment (pictured) is a piece in the puzzle that is UHC that Kitui County is striving to unravel.
Taking to her Facebook page the first-time governor wrote;
