BUSIA SET TO GET 3RD BRANCH OF EQUITY BANK
Equity Chief Executive Officer, Dr James Mwangi has pledged to add Busia County a third branch of the bank.
Dr Mwangi, who is also the Chairman of Kenya Covid-19 Fund Board Health Committee, made the pledge when he led the Bank and Board in distribution of Personal Protection Equipment (PPEs) to Alupe Treatment and Isolation Centre on Saturday.
Busia has currently two branches in Busia and Malaba border towns. ” I want to cement our
long relationship with Busia Governor H.E Sospeter Ojaamong when he was a Member of Parliament,” he said.
He added: “I am visiting a friend whom we walked long journeys together. It’s a great honour to be here and my pledge should not be taken for granted.”
He said the onus now lies on the county’s leadership to identify an ideal place where the bank will be set up.
