SEVEN SUSPECTS ARRESTED IN BUNGOMA IN POSSESSION OF STOLEN GOODS
Police in Bungoma have arrested seven suspects and recovered a large consignment of stolen household goods and electronics.
The arrests were made on 20 September 2025 after officers from Bungoma Police Station, while on patrol, intercepted individuals found in possession of suspected stolen property. Upon interrogation, the suspects led officers to a house in the Galana area, where more items were recovered and additional suspects were apprehended.
Among the recovered items were several television sets, laptops, speakers, solar equipment, utensils, and other assorted household and electronic goods. Two motorcycles, believed to have been used to transport the stolen property, were also impounded.
All items have been documented, and the suspects are in custody awaiting arraignment at Bungoma Law Courts on 22 September 2025.
The National Police Service commends the officers for their swift action and assures the public that operations to dismantle criminal networks are ongoing.
Members of the public are urged to continue supporting these efforts by promptly reporting any suspicious activities to the nearest police station or anonymously through the Service’s toll-free hotlines: 999, 911, 112, or via #FichuaKwaDCI on 0800 722 203 / WhatsApp 0709 570 000.
