Cheche’s killers slapped with a 15-year jail-term each

A Bungoma Court on 22nd Aug 2024 convicted six suspects to a 15-year jail-term each for robbery with violence:

5. Brian Ochien
6. Patrick Omia

Gacheche Karuga popularly known as CHECHE was on Jun 8, 2020 shot dead by thugs outside Kirenget Hotel – Bungoma. Sources indicated that the proprietor of shell petrol station (Kiwanja ndenge) was accosted by men who demanded money from him prompting him rush into his car but was shot dead by a single bullet. He was pronounced dead upon reaching hospital.
