The battle for Kenya County Government Workers Union (KCGWU) leadership took a twist as a labour court ruled in favor of Florian Nganga led faction following a coup that was staged on 20th May 2023. In a ruling by lady Justice J.W. Keli on 31st May 2023 the ordered that the congress held on 20th was null and void, so were the resolutions.
Speaking to ikuweikuwe.com Kennedy Wekunda who was recently elected chair by the Oscar Sifuma led faction rubbished the order saying it was a case between members of the faction that had been removed from office. He insisted that his team is legally in office.
