DR. OCHILO AYACKO’S 100 DAYS ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND MEDICAL SERVICES.
1. Increased revenue collection from Ksh 63 million in 1st quarter to Ksh. 76 million in 2nd quarter through implementation of Automated Cashless Revenue Collection.This represents 21% increase in revenue collection.
2. New Casualty and Specialized Clinic Complex has been completed.
3. The new Blood bank at the County Referral hospital has been completed and operationalized.
4. The department has rolled out pilot phase for electronic community health information System.Total of 760 Community health workers were trained and issued with tablets.
5. Initiated procurement of Health products worth over Ksh.80 million from KEMSA.
6. Part of the outstanding KEMSA pending bills cleared to ease supply of health products.
7. Established a fully-fledged Health Products and Technologies Unit at County Referral hospital in collaboration with various partners like Afya Ugavi.
8. The unit is equipped with a 10-ton truck and a double cabin 4×4 to enable efficient and timely distribution of health products. All the sub county pharmacists provided with tablets to facilitate reporting of health commodities .e.t.c
