The items were destined to reach designated Health Centres as soon as possible with more consignment expected in due course.

Taking to his Social media space, Natembeya indicated that his government is committed to ensuring accessible, affordable and reliable Healthy service to Transnzoia residents.

RECENT SHORTAGE;

In April 2022 while protesting lack of medical supplies, Health workers blamed Trans Nzoia County government for the shortage in health centres. They then decried that the situation had persisted for months and county officials had not acted to resolve the issue that had affected all public health facilities in the county with the referral Hospital in Kitale, the most visited by patients, bearing the brunt of the shortages.

The health workers threatened to paralyse operations unless facilities were adequately stocked with immediate effect.

“One cannot find even painkillers in our hospitals therefore we are always referred to purchase these drugs from private chemists” lamented a resident
